San Antonio

March 7, 2011

We went to San Antonio this past weekend, so we had a little early birthday celebration.  When I was in San Antonio for OBC in 2009, I actually hated the city; but i never really went out and saw all the culture around it. There is tons of history throughout the city and great food!

If you want great Mexican food and an AMAZING margarita head to Casa Rio down on the riverwalk.
If you want great Texas BBQ, head to Republic of Texas.
If you want great breakfast and lunch food… head to Guenther House. It’s a family owned flour mill, so all of their food is from scratch. I can never leave San Antonio without having food from here.
If you want a laid back family owned bar, head to Thirsty Turtle.
If you want a great place to relax and people watch, go to Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub and sit on the patio.
If you want AMAZING meat, head to Fogo De Chao.  It is a Brazilian Steakhouse (Churascarria), its expensive but so worth it.
Other bars and good hangouts would be: Pat O’Brien’s, Hard Rock Cafe, Mad Dog’s, and Coyote Ugly.

anyways… that was my weekend! Yay!
